Easing Back In

Over the past year, I’ve been through many things I didn’t choose. However, I’ve been able to use this time to reflect, pray, and prepare for a writing project. Although I haven’t been active, I’ve learned much about myself and God. As I ease back into my routine, I take things slow and allow myself to take a break whenever needed.

It’s easy to get caught up in our routines and neglect our personal health and growth. But it’s essential to take the time to reflect and work on improving ourselves, both intellectually and creatively. There’s always room for improvement.

One example is that recently, I realized that I need to challenge myself further and explore further the vast depths of the wisdom books. I chose to return to Ecclesiastes. So, I started reading commentaries and listening to podcasts that would stretch my mind and help me grow in what I had already read. Another example is the writing project that I’ve barely begun. Blogging is not serious writing and I desire to honor God in writing my first book. I am honing my creative writing skills that once flourished.

By investing in our intellectual and creative development, we honor God and gain new insights and wisdom that enrich our spiritual journey. As we continue to grow and learn, we enhance our ability to understand and share the message of the Bible with others.

As we navigate life’s challenges, let us remember the importance of investing in personal growth. Whether reading a book, listening to a podcast, or spending time in prayer, let us intentionally expand our minds, nurture our talents, and nourish our souls. By doing so, we not only honor God but also gain new insights and wisdom that can transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
