Spiritual Influence

Spiritual Influence

As women

We, as women, are endowed with a God-given potential to make a profound impact on the church and family. This potential is not to be underestimated, for it holds the power to leave a lasting legacy of Christian faith. By gaining, retaining, and sharing biblical knowledge, we can benefit those we know and love. Do you recognize the immense potential of your spiritual influence, where it lies, and the endless possibilities for God’s glory?

A Call to Discipleship & Mentoring

God works in the ordinary places and spaces in women’s lives, such as in our homes, workplaces, and communities. We do not have to be in high positions or do unusual things to help those around us make choices that will lead them closer to Jesus Christ—our most important duty. Our spiritual strength and influence are vital in the progression of discipleship, and we need to seek opportunities to spiritually strengthen women who might be less mature in the faith.

As we invest in discipleship and mentoring, the influence of our faith and knowledge will endure far beyond what we can see. Even the smallest acts in the lives of a few people, perhaps just within our own family, can have a profound impact. LeRoy Eims reminds us, “Jesus’ message was personalized in the everyday affairs of life. His classrooms were the events of the day. He was what He taught. He transmitted His message by His life.” This is a testament to the enduring power of our faith and knowledge.

So, what’s your story?

Each of our lives tells a story, but we rarely think through the narrative we want our lives to tell. Deep down inside, even if we can’t explain it, we all yearn to be connected to a bigger story, to have our lives make a difference, and to be connected to something more. That’s because our lives are all part of another story, God’s bigger story, which is the narrative of His redemptive plan for humanity. His story is so much more significant and grander than our personal narrative. As sinners, we must constantly remind ourselves that we were never meant to be the story’s center. Nonetheless, as Christian women, we can leave a legacy of faith by weaving the gospel into every area of life.

Leaving a legacy of faith comes from being diligent and intentional in your relationship with the Lord, learning and living His ways. What does it mean to know God’s ways? God does a lot of things, but to know God’s ways refers to understanding the principles by which He does things (see Gen. 18:23-32; Num. 16:46; 1 Sam. 15:22; 2 Sam. 24:24; Isa. 55:10-11). Knowing God’s ways requires knowing his Word. It’s time we sharpen our Bible knowledge for the glory of God – Let’s walk away from man-centered theology. To live a legacy of Christian faith, you have to be willing to build your life on the Word of God. Let’s get back to the Bible.
