As Paul Tripp wisely penned, “Like everything God calls people to, God doesn’t call people to be parents because they are able…God did not create human beings to be independently able; he designed us to be dependent. It is not a sign of personal weakness or failure of character to feel unable as a parent…Independent ability, like independent righteousness, is a delusion.” May we understand our inability and give credit to our God for any parenting successes. He is able.
Today, we celebrate moms, but as a grandmother, I’ve entered the phase of spiritual mothering: women mentoring women. And what a joy it is! I’m sharing with you this morning two great parenting titles and one on mentoring:
