The Freedom Series

Many people view Christianity as a life shaped by checklists, rules, and the constant pressure to measure up. Even among believers, there can be a slow drift toward performance, as though our standing with God rises and falls with how well we live each day. Yet Scripture reveals something altogether different. In Christ, God calls His people into freedom, not a freedom to wander from Him, but a freedom to belong to Him without fear.

Jesus Himself makes this clear in John 8:36, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” This freedom is not earned through effort. It is given through the finished work of Christ.

When we abide in Him, we begin to see that the Christian life is not sustained by striving but by grace. Jesus says in John 15:4-5, “Abide in me, and I in you… apart from me you can do nothing.” Our strength does not come from within. It flows from union with Him. The Holy Spirit works in us, reshaping our desires and empowering our obedience. Philippians 2:13 reminds us, “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Obedience, then, is no longer driven by fear or the need to prove ourselves, but by gratitude for the love we have received.

This freedom begins with a right understanding of the gospel. Salvation is not achieved but received. Ephesians 2:8-9 declares, “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” We come to God not as those who have cleaned ourselves up, but as sinners in need of mercy. Romans 5:8 tells us, “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Through His atoning death, we are forgiven, restored, and brought near. Our foundation is not our performance, but Christ’s finished work, for “there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

The Freedom Series is written to help Christian women rediscover and live in this gospel freedom. Planned for release throughout 2026, the series addresses some of the most common spiritual struggles women face, always returning to the truth of Scripture and the sufficiency of Christ.

The first book, The Accusing Memory and the Freedom of the Gospel, is now available on Amazon. It speaks to the weight many carry when past sins resurface and the heart is troubled again with guilt and shame. Yet God’s Word speaks with greater authority than our memory. First John 1:9 assures us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” In Christ, our sins are not only forgiven, they are removed, as Psalm 103:12 declares, “as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.”

This series is for the woman who cannot seem to escape what she remembers. It is for the one who carries lingering guilt, even after seeking forgiveness. It is for the weary soul, burdened by a relentless pace, longing for rest yet unsure where to find it. It is for the one standing at a crossroads, fearful of choosing wrongly. It is for the heart that feels unsettled, weighed down by unmet expectations and the ache of not enough.

Jesus extends this invitation in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” If you find yourself in these words, this series was written with you in mind.

The Accusing Memory and the Freedom of the Gospel is available now on Amazon, and Lord willing, the remaining three books will be released throughout 2026.
