Earlier this year I shared book titles authored or co-authored by female theologians with the ladies in my theology class. My reading of these authors’ works was for pleasure and purpose. I am grateful for published authors whose education far exceeds my own though that wasn’t the case with one; many good men and women have spent the bulk of their lives learning, teaching, and sharing through writings as their life’s vocation. Aside from my own continued learning, I am an advocate for women to read wisely.

If you have kept up with me, you know it has been a different year. There have been periods where I couldn’t concentrate well enough or deep enough to read the number of books or the difficulty of content to which I had become accustomed. Nevertheless, I share Amy Gannet’s Fix Your Eyes as my favorite book of 2023. If you still need to read her book, I hope you will consider it.
