Discipleship

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. – 2 Pet. 3:18

HOW CAN YOU HELP BELIEVERS BECOME MORE CHRISTLIKE? HOW DO YOU FACILITATE SPIRITUAL GROWTH IN OTHERS? WOMAN-TO-WOMAN CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP LAYS THE GROUNDWORK FOR GOD’S SPIRIT TO WORK IN THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER.

Salvation Worksheet by Biblical Counselor, Martha Peace is an essential discipleship tool. Both new and long time Christians can work through the questions and scripture passages, while slowly documenting their answers and praying through each section. I believe this study gives much peace in the assurance of a believer’s salvation, and has potential to bring conviction to those who might need to better consider her destiny. This study is free and reproducible with a ScribD subscription. See Martha’s blog site here.

There are a number of good resources for discipleship. Among others, I recommend http://www.navigators.org, http://www.cru.org, and Rose Guide to Discipleship.

LeRoy Eims served with the Navigators.

Featuring simple summaries, charts, illustrations, practical applications, and discussion questions, the Rose Guide to Discipleship is an ideal reproducible guide. It includes 30 ready-to-use lessons for discipling new Christians on the topics of salvation, forgiveness, prayer, trusting God, studying the Bible, and more.

In addition to one-on-one discipleship, it is typical for me to hold a seminar or study from my home.

You can find a summary of the 2020 seminar here.

Doctrine & Disciplines of the Bible

My objective with this series is to call women to the reading and study of God’s Word, provide support for sound doctrine, and dispel theological confusion in those disciplines and doctrines. Following the intro link above, this series includes nine weeks of study (Part One coupled with Part Two) followed by a wrap up post. You can find the series in its entirety through the Search My Site bar or the Blog Categories menu.

How Can I Get More Out of my Bible Study

My purpose in writing this series is to both challenge and encourage Christian women to dig into the rich soil of Bible study for their personal edification, for the sake of the church, and ultimately for the glory of God. We cannot afford to simply do popular prewritten studies where we take other people’s word for what is true about the Bible. If we really want truth, then we must go to the Scriptures themselves and study the Bible for ourselves. Following the intro link above, this series includes four weeks of study. You can find the series in its entirety through the Search My Site bar or the Blog Categories menu.

Biblical Growth and Change

This series provides a glimpse of my perspective on growth and change, sharing what the Bible says concerning change in our lives through means that honor Christ, His church, and His Word. God has given us Himself, the Gospel, the Bible, and the church, promising that they are effective for all things pertaining to life and godliness. Our task as Christians is to grow in our understanding of and ability to apply these resources to our struggles. Following the intro link above, this series includes six weeks of study. You can find the series in its entirety through the Search My Site bar or the Blog Categories menu.

Christian discipleship is the process by which disciples grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and are equipped by the Holy Spirit to become more and more Christlike.
